Lord Shiva is very dear to Belpatra and Gangajal. Chanting of the Mahamrityunjaya mantra gives freedom from all the miseries.
On the first Monday of the month of Shravan, by chanting ‘Mahamrityunjaya Mahamantra‘, the sufferings of the devotee are dispelled.

Sawan Somwar Pooja method-

  • By retiring from daily actions on the first month of Shravan.
  • Putting white clothes on a checkpoint.
  • Now Write ‘Om Namah Shivay’ with ‘Ashtagand’ on it.
  • Just type your name right below and type ‘OM Namah Shivay’ again below it.
  • After this, establish Rudraksh Mala above the mantra.

  • Now worship Rudraksh Mala from white flowers, sandalwood, uneatable etc.
  • Now worship the garland by saying ‘Om Namah Shivay’.
  • Now pray that Lord Shankar protect us.
  • After worshiping of the garland, worshiping them by installing Shivling, Shrignesh, Kartikeya and Nandi on a separate post.
  • Now Worship Shivalinga from Gangajal, cow’s milk, curd, grate, honey, sugar, Panchamarit, Gangajal.
  • Now offer Shivalinga clothes, yajnopavati, Chandan, Akshat, flower, belpetra, bell, datura, naivedya, while uttering ‘Om Namah Shivay’.

Special Preparations in Shiv Temples in Sawan Month:

Special preparations have begun in Shiv Temples in the Sawan Month.
In the entire Sawan month, Baba Manohar Nath temple situated in Surajkund will play a special praise of Lord Shiva and Shiva Mahapurana story.

Apart from these, there will also be a gathering of Dhaneshwar Mahadev Temple, Vaman Bhagwan Mandir (Sadar), Dayaleshwar Mahadev Temple (Mohanpuri), Bhuteshwar Mahadev Mandir and Dharmeshwar Mahadev Temple (Budhanaget). Preparations have been started for this.
