Nag Panchami Katha(Story):

Nag panchami katha

According to a legend related to Nag Panchami Katha, there was a king's seven sons.  Everyone was married.  Six of them were born of sons.  The son of the seventh son of the King was not born.  Because they were childless, they lived a lot.

 His wife had been upset after hearing the news.  But the husband used to explain this, saying that it is God's hand to be a child or not to have children.  In the same way their life was passing in the waiting of the child.  One day the king's younger daughter-in-law saw five snakes in the dream at night, on the day of Panchami of the Shravan Month.

 One of them snakes said that, why do you mourn for daughter, you worship our children, will you be born?  In the morning she told this dream to her husband.  Husband said that as seen in the dream, according to that worship the serpents.  He worshiped serpents on that day, and after some time the child was born in his house.
