The full moon date of Vaishakh month is known as Buddha Purnima. According to mythology, Buddha Purnima is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha.
This festival has special importance in Buddhism and it has its own special importance among the Hindus as well. Lord Buddha is worshiped and considered as the 9th incarnation of Srihari Vishnu. This year, Budhha Purnima will be celebrated on 26 May 2021, Wednesday. The festival of Budh Purnima forms a very big celebration for the followers of Buddhism.
